User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI went to the boathouse after seeing an add in the paper for their early dinner specials. The restaurant was a little hard to find as it is set back off the main road down by the water. When we arrived the hostess asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside (they have a large deck right on the water) We chose inside as it was a cool evening, but the view was still great as we had a seat right on the window. Our server did not tell us about the early bird specials and we had to ask her about them. Other then that she was very nice and attentive. Anyway, I had the pan sauted chicken topped with crab meat and my wife had a fried shrimp dinner. The chicken was moist and tender and the shrimp were large and crisp. The atmosphere was nice without being stuffy and for $9.95 each I thought the value was great.

Came in tonight and bought the steak and grouper. The steak was flavorful and juicy but the Grouper tasted and smelled like the bottom of a dock. The waitress noticed there was only one bite out of the grouper and asked if I didn't like it. I said it tasted terrible, that it tasted too fishy. She kind of made a joke of it and blew me off.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA DINING EXPERIENCE YOU'LL RETUIRN TO: A wonderful variety of seafood , prime rib, pasta & po boys with the elegance of a quiet and peaceful resturant, yet still casual enough to sit back and relax. A dining experience you want to return to time after time. The food is seasoned just right so you can taste it in every single bite. The view is tranquil and lovely. A perfect night of bliss.
