I bought my dream car from this dealer. The purchase process was smooth and could not complain about anything....
NOW.... it's been 2 months and still I have no registration of the vehicle. I have called several times and the tag lady I have dealt with is one of the rudest persons I have ever talked to in my entire life (Cindy). Also, if you buy any vehicle from Gainesville nissan, pay attention to your documents, read everything carefully, I encountered mistakes like type of vehicle, etc.
Elijah was helpful like others reviewers said, but all the tag/registration/decal documents is a total MESS. Never dealt with such a horrible department.
Would not recommend this dealer to first time buyers.... you will suffer from what's coming next. Or you will spend your own time dealing with the DMV yourself and fixing the mess they caused. Still, I'm waiting for my documents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I decided to post this review because before I bought my car at Gainesvile Nissan, I surfed the web trying to find reviews of it. I found a couple of them, so I thought I would return the favor, especially to those who need it.
My experience with Gainesville nissan was good. I saw an online used vehicle I wanted and sent them an email. I received an email back from Elijah, but being 200 miles away from Gainesville, I told him how much I could offer for the vehicle. Elijah did not give me any sure answer, he only told me that if I drove the 200 miles, we could negociate and hopefully go home with the vehicle.
I drove to the dealer on tuesday, which was good because there were no customers. Soon as I arrived, I refused to talk to any other salesman, just asked about Elijah. He took me to the vehicle, I drove it around and we talked about price. We both reached a decent price, and he made it possible (due to I was in a tight budget).
After 2 hours of paper work, questions and more questions(because I'm a first time buying with lots of them).... I left the dealer with the car. They detailed the vehicle nicely due to it had few scratches and they also filled my gas tank.
I found Elijah to be very helpful and not pushy at all. All he asked me was: "Do you like the car?", I told him yes, and he made it happen.
I did not deal with any other sales-personal other than Elijah, so I have nothing to say about them.
The car I bought was the one I wanted, I received good the customer service, and if I had to buy another vehicle, I would contact Elijah directly and wouldn't deal with any sales-rep. After going to different dealerships and dealing with nasty people, who only want to sell anything they have, after hearing.. "oh, we don't have it anymore, but we do have..." or "I could get the car you want", blah, blah, I found Gainesville Nissan to be a Nice experience, definitively not pushy at all.
Wow! Nissan of Gainesville is the worst dealership! Each time I have gone to have my Nissan serviced they display rude and incompetent behavior. First, Dave's (of the service department) rude demeanor suggested that I was interrupting him by requesting him to schedule an appointment for me and he finally scheduled my appointment for the following Monday. I arrived early before work to have my car serviced, the staff again was unreasonably rude and discourteous. When I pulled my car into the entrance of the garage, I was then informed by another female staff member that they couldn't service my car. When I asked why they didn't call me to inform me of the problem, she said that that wasn't her job. The level of incompetence and discourtesy displayed by the staff on virtually every level was unforgivable and I highly recommend that you avoid this dealership at all costs. At the very least, make the short drive to the Nissan dealership in any of the surrounding towns near Gainesville, but DO NOT patronize this one! Caveat Emptor!

Dreams, you are not the only one going thought this mess, I puchased my 2009 Pathfinder on Aug 3rd 2009 and I am still fighting to get my tag/registration. I have called them about my tag over ten time plus my tag office has called them five times.
