Palm Gainesvlle Chevy Cad Saab

DEC. 31, 2008 MY CADILLAC WAS TOWED TO THE PALM DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT START.I WAS TOLD IT HAD A BAD THEFT MODULE. MY MOM, DAUGHTER AND I WAITED FOR MORE THAN 6 HOURS FOR MY CAR TO BE REPAIRED AT A COST OF $491.67 SO THAT WE COULD RETURN HOME TO NORTH CAROLINA. HERE'S THE THING , MY CAR NEVER WENT INTO A BAY IN THE SERVIVE DEPARTMENT TO BE REPAIRED, IT SAT OUTSIDE THE ENTIRE TIME AND I NEVER SAW ANY ONE WORK ON IT. THEY TOLD ME MY CAR WAS READY I WENT AND PAID THE BILL, AND WE HEADED TO NORTH CAROLINA. ONLY WE HAVEN'T MADE IT THERE YET BECAUSE LAST NIGHT WE STOPPED FOR GAS AND CUT THE CAR OFF AND IT WOULD NOT START ( THE EXACT SAME THING IT WAS DOING WHEN IT WAS TOWED TO PALM GAINESVILLE CHEVROLET CADILLAC SAAB)!! SO, HERE IT IS NOT EVEN A GOOD 5 HOURS LATER WE ARE STRANDED!!!! ALL DEALERSHIPS ARE CLOSED BECAUSE, TODAY IS A HOLIDAY! IN MY STATE IT IS ILLEGAL TO CHARGE FOR REPAIRS THAT YOU DID NOT PERFORM AND NEW PARTS THAT YOU NEVER INSTALLED.... I WONDER ABOUT FLORIDA (GAINESVILLE)? THEREFORE, I WILL BE CONTACTING THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE, THE BBB, THE OWNER OF THIS DEALERSHIP, AND OF COURSE GENERAL MOTORS, JUST AS SOON AS THEY REOPEN FOR BUSINESS AFTER THE HOLIDAY. PALM GAINESVILLE CHEVROLET CADILLAC SAAB IS BY FAR THE WORSE CADILLAC DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO...AND I TRULY FEEL SORRY FOR ANY ONE THAT USES THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT, BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...AND YOU MAY GET STRANDED HOURS AWAY FROM HOME JUST AS WE HAVE.WE HAVE NO OPTION TO GET THE CAR REPAIRED UNTIL JAN. 2, 2009 EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR THIS REPAIR ON DEC. 31, 2008. BEWARE!!!!! WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING.... AND TO THE EMPLOYEES OF PALM GAINESVILLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT MY FAMILY AND I HOPE THAT YOU HAD A HAPPY NEW YEAR, AND ENJOYED YOUR DAY OFF KNOWING THAT YOU NEVER REPAIRED MY CAR STRANDED MY MOM, DAUGHTER AND I, AND CHARGED ME $491.67 FOR REPAIRS THAT YOU NEVER DID!

I bought a 2005 Trailblazer in April from this dealership. Everything was great for about the first month. Then all of my electrical devices in my car started acting up. Everytime I would turn on my car all of my power (windows, locks, radio, all buttons) Would shut off. Sometimes come right back on. But one time i rode 20 mi with no air and no way to roll down my windows. I finally took it to a mechanic where I live. He laughed at me and told me he wouldn't touch my car because it was so rusted. It looked like it had been in a flood, and I did not buy a piece of junk car! I went to a dealership for that reason! So I took it back to them (mind you its a 70 mi drive for me 1 way because I live in the country) One of the managers came out and looked at it and told me to look around the lot and he would appraise it. So we went and walked around. After about 15 minutes of us being in 95 degree heat, I went into the building to see what he came up with. He was sitting behind a desk writing on car tags. NOTHING to do with my car! So I asked what he came up with and told me he would give me $6,500 for my car. Mind you I paid $13,000 with a $4,000 trade when I bought my car 4 months ago. The man was so ignorant and rude! Completely had this attitude that it wasn't his problem! I told him I would buy a $25,000 car with no problem if he would give me $10,000 for my car. He laughed. So, as I have called around other dealerships in Gainesville and have told them i have a Chevy Trailblazer to trade in that I bought from Palm Chevy, one man laughed, and one mans exact words were "oh god". That was without me even telling him my story. So, take your chances with palm chevy! I will definetly never go to that place again if it resulted in me riding a bicycle!!!

I purchased my car at Palm and have had all of the work performed in the service department. I am a woman and I have never been treated with anything but the utmost courtesy. Shawn is great, he is always willing to answer all of my questions and walk me through everything step by step. I know a thing or two about cars and I like to have all of the work thoroughly explained to me to make sure I'm not getting gouged and they will always make the extra effort to do this with me. I am shocked to hear about your experience but I'm sure if you were to call and speak with a manager they would at least try to fix the situation.
