    Just so you know, Cracker Barrel is a corporate company based out of Tennessee. There are thousands of C.B.s all over the country. It is far from a "small mom and pop place". Also, the photos on the walls are of no relation to anybody who works in the Gainesville store - or the company for that matter. The corporate office hires people to go to flea markets and antique stores to find old photos and trinkets to hang on the walls.
    But, the food is pretty good - especially their pies around the holidays.

    Authentic small country store.

    With all the big businesses like mcdonalds and burger king, it is good to see a small mom and pop place do well. Cracker barrell is an old country store with real rocking chairs and an old country feeling. The restaurant has a real fire place and old photos of family members on the walls.

    The place feels very country, but don't worry nobody is going to shoot you in the face with a shotgun! Its old southern hospitality through and through.

    The food here awesome! Just like mom used to make. Sometimes the wait is long, but they have lots of quaint old southern toys to play with. Try to see how many pegs you can hop over with that little peg game. I'm a genius, but my friend John only got ignoramoose.
