Most of the time this place gets it right - Eveything cooked over wood not gas makes it real BBQ, if its over done they fix it for you- Great breakfast too love the sweet tea

I lived in Gainesville for 9 years & have moved out of state for past 12 years. I have missed & Craved Dave's bbq pork on garlic w/ slaw w/ great fries.. very very much.. i talk about it all the time..i have only visited florida 2 times in last 12 years and i drove from wpb florida to eat at daves when visiting friends in 2004 it was as wonderful as i remembered .LOVE THE FOOD IT IS STILL GREAT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. WISH THERE WAS ONE IN OHIO - WHERE I LIVE NOW....NOTHING COMPARES... missing the good pork.

When Dave's there - no-one's a stranger - everybody's family. He's always helpful, polite, and eager to quick step his way to your wishes - the kind of owner you like to deal with.
