| About: | Occupying a building that was once a train station, this dining spot features some handsome wood paneling from days long gone. In that old-time atmosphere, you can try some other unusual options, including an appetizer of frog legs, fried Florida lobster or alligator tail. Main courses include that crispy, fried catfish, plus shrimp and scallops in various preparations. A children's menu is available, and for the budget-conscious there's an Early Bird Special, served nightly. |

I love this cozy pace! My grandson took us there and we are hurring to go back! The thing I like best here is the service , and the owner is attentive to all his customers! The walls remind you of years back, the fod is superb and the prices are unbeatable!! Bravo for the catfish place!!
I LOVE THE FOOD AT THE CATFISH PLACE VERY GOOD SEAFOOD WITHOUT GOING TO THE COAST....THE FROG LEGS AND GATOR ARE GREAT AS WELL
The Catfish Place is a nice place to go for that laid-back atmosphere you might find at a hunting or fishing lodge. The decor adds to that outdoorsy feeling. The food was good but slightly heavy due to all the fried choices. The wait staff was so-so but I had more of a problem with the hosts at the door. I like a friendly greeting when I walk in the door and they gave me looks that made me want to spare them my business.
