User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe brought my husband age 62 home to die.(it was very sudden) Vitas had made sure that everything was ready for when we arrived. They stopped by to check on us several times a day. We can not tell you how it felt to be assured that we were doing all we could to make him as comfitable as possible.(married 40+ years) They made it possible for me to be with him till the end. He died in May and as of this writing Vitas Hospice calls and sends booklets to help us get through. I just can not say thanks enough to all your staff for the care and understanding you have all given to my family and me... THANK YOU
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOur 85 year old father was very well taken care of during his last months. He was sometimes grumpy or not very cooperative or compliant, but VITAS found ways to work with him -or around him, to make him as comfortable and cheerful as possible. They called us often and updated us as we do not live in FL. Ms Kelsey LCSW and Ms Kusiak LCSW were especially kind, considerate, insightful, helpful and so patient. I'm sorry that I don't have all the names of the VITAS personnel that helped us. Nurses Joyce and Sheila were wonderful those last few days.
Just like there are angels that help us come into this world, there are those that help us gently depart. Thank you, thank you, thank you.-

Not reliable.: They switch our primary nurses several times. Had to explain my dad's situation several times to different nurses. When calling the office was transfer several times, on hold several times and then got a voicemail. Not very reliable when all I want to do is to get a refill. :(
