Caveat emptor! This dealership will make promises and then not deliver all designed to "earn your business". Meanwhile all the buyer is earning is wasted time and unprofessional salespeople. They did not deliver in the timeframe promised, I also was told by the Sales Manager Shaun that I was lied to by the salesman Bill. Shaun said Bill should not have told me that the truck could be delivered in 4 or 5 days. Being told that I was lied to is very similar to another review of this dealership. I special ordered a truck with very specific features that were written out in the buyer's agreement. When the truck did arrive 14 days later it was the wrong interior color. I would not have mind waiting 14 days for a special order truck except for the fact they promised to deliver in a shorter timeframe. If they were upfront and said 14 days so be it. The truck was delivered to the dealership on Wednesday; I could not pick it up until Friday. They had at least a day and a half to let me know the truck arrived with the wrong interior color. When I drove from Melbourne to Deland and arrived Friday evening it was dark outside. I saw what was supposed to be my truck parked right up front. I started looking the truck over and opened the driver's door. The interior light was not on and something did not seem right. I asked Bill "what color is this interior?" he said taupe their all like that, well I ordered a graphite interior color. Bill went to check the buyer's agreement and sure enough it says graphite interior. Bill comes back and said someone is going to lose their job over this; I can give you money off if I settle for the taupe interior color. No thanks! They have made one too many mistakes. With the other Toyota dealerships available to choose from in the Greater Orlando area, Deland Toyota must do all they can to get customers. That includes lying, overselling, and hoping for customers who will take what ever is given to them. Please do not buy your vehicle from Deland Toyota. Save your self the time, aggravation, and shady sales tactics and go to any other Toyota dealer.
BUYER BEWARE!
I called prior to driving out, to inquire what they could do deal wise. We discussed numbers on the phone, and a range in value for the trade. The numbers they presented to me over the phone were agreeable. I couldn't drive out that evening (I live in Winter Springs ~45 minutes away), and could make it out two days later. I then called two days later, reconfirmed the figures. Stated that I did not want to drive out there and waste their time or my time. I was told by the GM - Justin, the numbers were workable. After arriving at the dealership, we spent over 90 minutes, and not once did they present us the numbers we discussed over the phone. When I inquired why things were different than when we were chatting on the phone, I was told that I was LIED TO JUST TO GET ME IN THE DOOR! I was ASTONISHED at this, grabbed my keys and had to walk out the door prior to losing it.
All I have to say, is BUYER BEWARE. I work in a sales environment, and can say they did not conduct themselves in a very professional manner.
Great Service Dept: brought my 92 corolla for a problem that i had at several other shops that no one could repair. The service dept found it right away and the price was very resonable. Nice to see an honest vehicle repair shop.
