DISGUSTINGLY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I called Sunday 11/04/07, regarding a used Scion, telling Glenn, the salesman, that the only experiences I've ever had at car dealerships were bad ones. He said yes, he understood.

Then the next words out of his mouth were (I'm paraphrasing):

"By the way, the actual price for the one you want is actually $2,000 higher than what's listed on the internet. I'm just telling you this because I believe in honesty."

Honestly, this is how we started.

It got worse from there.

I was EXTREMELY clear about what my situation was, and we agreed to speak Monday morning.

Monday afternoon after no phone call from Glenn, I called to ask what was happening (I'd given him my info and the downpayment amount I could put down.)

He said he had none of my paperwork, and we started again.

He then told me he remembered talking to me, and told me he'd give me the car at the price they originally had on the internet "because he was gonna be my best friend." I SWEAR I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP - THIS IS NOT A SCRIPT.

So, during my 80 hour work week, I spent a day doing a 4-hour round trip to Deland from Saint Augustine / Jacksonville. I was told the bank needed several items for approval. I took the time the next day sending that information, and after I got an "everything looks good, but we need some more things" call, I spent Friday morning (while running a construction project in Jacksonville) getting it together - and during that entire time I kept in touch with "best friend" Glenn on my progress. After several hours of bank statements, money transfers from one of my accounts to another, contact requests, landlord contact numbers, at approx. 12:30, I was told the paperwork was being processed.

At 4:30, I called the dealer, and I was told "friend Glenn" was not available, but the Scion had been sold that morning. And this message was from the man who was "processing " my paperwork.

I haven't rated Deland Dodge yet, but if I can leave ZERO stars, I'll do it.

If you see this dealership with one star from me, it's because the computer made me do it.

DON'T BOTHER - GO ELSEWHERE.
