The food was great. The service was good. There were a lot of people eating at the restaurant - meaning it was popular. The blackened salmon was perfect. The seafood (broiled) medley was good. And the Chicken nuggets, yes both my boys ate chicken nuggets at Dixie, were good too.
I recommend people to go eat there.
The booths are uncomfortable unless you like seesaws. When people slide in and out of the booth behind you the bench will lean fore and aft as the fatso's get adjusted in their place. And when their undisciplined kids jump up and down and climb all over the place, knock into the back of your head while you are just trying to eat in peace, the staff does nothing to help you out. Ask for a table and chairs in one of the sections where the tables are not jam packed too close together. Service is very slow. Too few servers.
The food is good but the portions have gotten smaller and the prices have climbed.
Lived in this town (Titusville) for 50 years. I remember when Dixie Crossroads opened. Food was really good and reasonable. People startd coming from all over the country to eat there. Once it got popular the prices shot up, portions shrank, started catering to tourists and the service went south. The crouds are getting smaller now. I hope they go back to what made them; great food, great service, reasonable prices. This economy may force that. If not, bye-bye Dixie Crossroads.
