My mum-in-law was over from Australia, and -- go ahead and think how silly -- we decided to have some Outback. Not because it is Aussie, but since the food is good. Well, the worst thing happened. Our to-go order went out with someone else! THE MANAGER OF THE PLACE WAS VERY, VERY GRACIOUS. We could have gotten rather ticked off, but she handled this as a manager should, with respectfulness and giving us every cent of our money back (and free dessert). Class act for dining in, lively and comfortable, and at least one manager can handle disastrous goofs by their staff on very busy weekend nights.
All of our food was free, we had complimentary goodies, and she even asked us if we wanted to step inside for a drink (we didn't, but that was a choice). We loved the food. But as with most places, I encourage you to eat IN, as it is always better right there at the joint.
I highly encourage the old stand-by steak, the Outback Special. However, love the mashed potatoes with anything, I am partial to the Bloomin' Onion even though I am no onion rings fan. The No Rules Pasta great for a seafood and chicken lover.
And enjoy the stuff ont eh walls, as even in Australia, my wife tells me a lot of that stuff is hard to come by, at least so enjoyably.
Mothers day: I took my mother and wife to outbacks steak house for mothers day...But first let me tell you the first time I went there (the one in aloma)it was fantastic the food service ,Im from New Jersey and let me tell you I liked this one better the first time I came here ...than from Jersey well on mothers day I ordered a 2 plate of melborne 24 oz steaks for me and my dad WELL DONE! my wife ordered Ribs on the barbie and my Mom was the small steak with lobster tail. When we got are food my fathers plate was completely raw and also my plate too.My wifes ribs had a bad old taste too it .but my mothers plate was good no complaints from her..when I asked to speak with the manager in charge she told me that one of the plates she will take off the bill .Itold her that its three plates not one that I wasnt happy with she ask to take my plates back I told her no once my plate is on the table that no one was going to touch it and then bring it back to me...So I ended up paying $155.00 for that day .....NEVER AGAIN I Will go back
