    The main teachers at this studio are verbally and emotionally abusive! Miriam and Dion make people cry in class from the ages of 3 to adults! Miriam comes to class sometimes with alcohol on her breath. They will tell your daughter that she is too fat and poke at their stomachs. I took 5 classes at another studio and learned more in those 5 classes than I did the 3 years at M&V's. They have no class. Yes Miriam may have a lot of experience. But she is a negative old lady who likes to put people down.There are enough dance studios in the area. I don't need to be at one where the teachers feel the need to tell kids they are a prized winner fat pig to feel better about themselves! Don't be fooled by the "we have the best experience" in the city! You don't have to be mean to be a good dancer.

    ** Anyone who cares about their child’s wellbeing, and is considering Miriam and Valerie's would be well served to do their research. **

    I am sure that these women have accomplished much in their careers.

    This however does not give them the right to belittle young girls about sucking in their stomachs, physically “correcting” them with a pole, pushing them over as they attempt stretches etc.

    I immediately removed my daughter as did my girlfriend after she observed the similar behavior with her daughter.

    I have heard the excuses “they are very firm”, “its part of the culture” abuse is not firm or a part of any culture my children will be participating in.

    Ask yourself.....what does go on after you have been shooed away and the curtain is closed....

    wonderful: love for dance, instructors, all rolled into one well established studio. Recital was a performance not just the dancers dancing costumes. music everything just wonderful. Try it you'll like it for the best in Central florida
