I am currently a senior at Teachers Hands Academy. i have been here for the past 5 years since i was in 8th grade. When i first got to this school i was practicly failing in the public school system and i was just another student there. when i got to this school i automaticly felt like they cared about me. my grades still werent that great but i was improving and testing better. i went from a 3rd grade reading level to a 5th grade reading level in my first year. the way they were teaching me was just getting better. since then, the school has grown by over 20%. i am now a senior getting all A's and B's and going to graduate with a great reading level and a regular deploma. if i were to stay in the public school system i would have just been another lost student and i probly would have wanted to drop out like everyone else i know that gose to public school. i am a proud THA student and the teachers and administration in this school dont think of you as just another student they think of you as one of there kids that there going to care and worry about helping you every step of the way. so if you have anything thats not good to talk about teachers hands academy then you have everything wrong! these people, teachers, and students that go here are some amazing people and maybe you should spend a little more time around them to know the real christian way.
My son attended this school for 6 weeks, and in those 6 weeks he got went from GOOD to BAD.
He was in K-3, teachers dont keep track of the students. Every morning when I'll drop him off they have about 30 students in a tiny classroom waiting for their teachers to take them to their classroom. Also my son went through 4 different teachers in those 6 weeks, it was awful. All i would hear was how terrible my son was in the class, and how he was in time out all day. He lost about 4 pounds, he would never eat, or take a nap. One day my husband went to pick him up early for a doctor's appoinment when he found the teacher talking to another teacher and the kids were screaming, running around. I was very unhappy with the system and teachers. Just because they are small and cant talk much they think they can get away with it. I'm glad i took him out of this school.
