I went to this salon for the first time on 8/3/09 and was VERY pleased with my hair. Mary was my stylist and was great. Yes, there is music, singing and Spanish speaking, but who cares if they do great hair and treat you well! I didn't come across anyone with an attitude (as stated in the post before me). I went to work today and received more compliments on my hair than I ever have before. I can't wait to go back in two weeks.
i decided to give this salon a second chance. my first time was for a relaxer. the relaxer turned out really nice and straight, but the styling was not so hot. my second time, i just got a wash and set and it's one of the best i've EVER had. my hair was super shiny, bouncy and looked really healthy. it also felt amazingly soft. the prices are good and the atmosphere is very around-the-way, which i love. but if you're not used to an ethnic crowd, then this place may not be for you. there's music, loud spanish being spoken over your head, and even singing sometimes. the salon also has a professional appeal. all of the stylist wear name tags and all black clothing and the stations are kept organized and clean. i went in the early afternoon during the week, so i was able to walk right in and get serviced without a wait. im glad that i gave this salon a second chace. i will be returning regularly.
I went to Salon Dominicano Sunday April 26th and Randy did my hair. My hair looks fabulous! Randy is awesome and he did a great job on my hair. I got a relaxer and trim and the price was just right too.
Charlie at the front desk is very nice and social with all of the clients. I'm really happy with Salon Dominicano and will definitely go back.
The place was packed so that will also tell you that they are good!
