If you’re reading this then you’re probably like me who did not have much information regarding getting your car painted and needs inputs regarding Maaco services. I hope my story helps.

The most important things that I can say is that each Maaco is owned individually and if you’re not happy with your estimate or the service then go to another Maaco. For the price I really don’t know if anyone can beat Maaco.

I actually started by going to the old cheney Hwy Maaco (big mistake) because it was closer to me. They do not have a big staff and I was dealing with the owner. When I asked for an estimate he looked at my car and printed a report. He didn’t explain much and just put in how much time it will take him to prep my car and then paint it. Then to look like an awesome business man he gives you a discount on the paint price (the discounted paint price is what Mercy Dr. Maaco has posted on wall) and prints another report to show you the saving and tells you that you have one week at that price. I was fine with all this but I did not know anything and he didn’t ask me anything. At that time I wanted to change the color of my car and he said that’s fine you can pick any color you want when you turn in your car. I go home and was very happy that I will have a new color for my car. Then for some odd reason I had gut feeling about the old Cheney Hwy location and the day before I was going to turn my car to them I went to get another estimate from the Mercy Dr. location and I am so glad that I went.

So as I went to Maaco on Mercy Dr. I would say with in 1 min I knew that I was going to turn my car to this location. This is without talking to anyone. Just an eye ball test and they passed. You can imagine how bad the other place could have been. Anyway I went in and got help from Steve. He looked at the car, told me more info that I didn’t even know about my car, gave me ideas and shared his knowledge with me. Then he allowed me to make an informed decision. He also help me walk through color options where I would have made the biggest mistake with other location. With my profession having outside different color from inside door panels would have looked bad and he pointed out a car that had that and made me think and I stuck with same factory color. If it wasn’t for Steve I would have ended up spending lot more to get inside to match and budget was important for me. And the last thing I wanted to do if someone sits in my car is to explain why the color difference. Other important thing for someone that does not get their car painted often is that they are busy so you have opportunity to look at others finished product.

Some other info…I have a 1999 honda accord that I got painted at mercy dr, in Orlando. My car needed extra work due to pealing paint, different paint on my trunk due to previous owner, and I had few dings. I was very happy for the price that I paid for all that but what impressed me more was their service.

I don’t mean to bash the other Maaco, and I am sure their job would have turned out nice but I would have paid more money in long run and their customer service was horrible.

Finally I just wanted to Thank the staff and crew at MERCY Dr. MAACO for making this easy for me.
