I was in Orlando with my boyfriend for the New Year and we went to Amura after receiving a recommendation from our hotel. The service was unbeatable and the sushi was delicious! I have been to many japanese retaurants and know good sushi when I come across it. This restaurant had great sushi at a logical price. It was not cheap; however, for the quality it was well deserved.

I was an avid Amura customer until last night. The restaurant has no regard for its customers or the service they offer.

I went with a group of 7 people. The whole night, we felt out of place. The table location was terrible (they had to create a table for us).

Secondly, the server (I think her name was Debbie - ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE PERSONALITY), rushed us through our order. Salads on our table arrived at different times. But what annoys me the most is that tables seated after us, with more people were served their sushi first. Along with that, one person ordered a steak, and that arrived before any sushi arrived at the table. Until I told the server they had 2 minutes to bring the food out before we leave, none of the sushi came out.

Then, when the sushi arrived, it came as a persons order, then a wait for 10 minutes, then the next person's order. It was a terrible experience. The dessert cake (which was complimentary) was cold. When I told the server that it was cold she refused to believe me. I told her to touch it. She refused. ARROGANT SERVER!

I am totally unsatisfied after all her work. She added gratuity to the whole table, and I reluctantly paid. I don’t think she deserved any tip, and in fact, I believe the restaurant should have sent a manager to explain to my table, which waited well over an hour and a half for sushi, why it took so long.

I will NOT be returning to the restaurant. I don’t think that you should spend your money here. Maybe you should try Rangetsu on International Drive. It may just be worth your while to stay away from this daiben-hole.

On a side note, the owner who lives in Viscaya, doesn’t care about your concerns for the restaurant.

The service was simply terrible. Took us 2 and a half hours. Granted the place was busy, but just the way they handle themselves is unbeliable. I must say though, the New York Steak with Vegetables I had was one of the best ever. Which I had fully eaten, and had 10 minutes to spare before anyone else at the table got their food.

I was a customer of Amura's up until today. I placed five orders to go for a few of the employees at my firm, only to get back and find that we had been given the wrong dessert and then found pieces of some type of packet in the salads along with the skin from the onion. When I spoke with the Manager his resolution was to give me a chicken teriakyi and when I explained that I am allergic to chicken his response was well that is your choices, I am not going to waste time talking to you all day about it, you talk about being rude, then as if that was not enough he hung on me.
