My mom is staying at the Brookshire and doing very well. The staff is friendly and easy to talk to. The building is clean and well lit and I didn't notice "that smell" that other nursing homes have. It ain't the Hilton but it is not a bad place either. The Brookshire is very good at providing entertainment for the seniors and they have field trips too. I would also like to say that my mother has improved since being there. When she first arrived her weight was 86 pounds. She now weighs a much healthier 100-that alone speaks volumes. My mom has been there almost a year and so far no complaints.

Quite Happy!: At the request of Christiane E. Hallowes this letter is being posted.

My name is Christiane E. Hallowes.

I am a friend of a resident that lived at Catalina ALF. She is now over 90 years old and because of her health, the doctor transferred her to a nursing home.

I have been visiting my friend at Catalina ALF on a weekly and more basis, and she was quite happy of the assistance she was getting in Catalina.

The main reason of this letter is to inform you of the great help and assistance she received while at Catalina, and I have had the opportunity to verify that many times.

The two ladies, the Manager Ms. Nancy Piakis and Assistant Manager Nicole Kyte were exceptional and very responsible and professional.

Please convey to them our gratitude for a very outstanding service.

When my husband requires and is in a condition for assistance I am going to take him to Catalina for sure.
