I have been a customer of Action Gun for the last 10 years. I have shopped at all the other stores but always find my way back to action. Every gunshop I have visited has its own personality. Some I don't care for. So I don't spend my money there. Action has always treated me fairly and I have never had a problem with there business practices. It is their business. I am sure that the policies are not intended to alienate customers. For those of you who were disatisfied with action I would give them another chance. The owner Herb I believe would be interested in hearing your complaints. I understand he started action almost 30 years ago. I don't believe he would still be in business If he didn't care or his business practices were as bad as some represented in other reviews.
I am a small business owner also, and I know how difficult it is to stay in business and to maintain a good reputation with your customer base. The firearm business is a highly competive highly regulated business. I am sure it is not easy.
Action is fair in price, Knowledgable and has a good stock of firearms.
I will continue to support them.
.
I have bought three guns from Action and have always gotten great service. The price is always competitive and they seem to always have what I need. I have tried other places locally, Merritt Island and Melbourne, but it seems so much easier to deal with your local store. When in Law Enforcement I used them and now a regular civilian I will continue to use them. I only buy Glocks and will continue to use Action as my local source. All I can say is that if you don't like how they run their business then find a new one to buy from!
I have never had a problem at Action Gun, the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Sure all shops have policys. They are all competitive in price. They will also match the price from any other local gun shop. They do not compete with internet pricing, but that is to be expected. The internet has no overhead to keep up with. As far as transfering a gun in, I know the paperwork has to be kept for 20 years. That is a long time for very little money. If you don't support your local gun shop. It is going to be hard to buy guns if no there are no shops around.
