   MoreHousecall Providers is a nonprofit organization that offers primary medical care and hospice services to homebound members of our community. Our doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants make house call throughout the tri-county area. Last year we admitted more than 700 new patients, served nearly 2,000 homebound persons and made over 12,000 house calls. The median age of our patients is 83 years old. Typically, we have about 20-25 patients who are 100 years old or older. Our growth would be even greater if additional clinicians were on staff as our ongoing waiting list now hovers around 57 patients-- a testament to the need for this service in the Portland metropolitan area. With the baby-boom generation approaching advanced age, our ability to meet the needs of our community will require us to stay on a strong financial footing. Less
