The ONLY place that I will buy my meats and seafood in this area. The prices are below local grocery stores, the quality is much better, and always is the freshest, since the turn over there is constant. They run great specials on not only the meats, but produce and deli items also. I love this store, and highly recommend it!

Penn Dutch has been a life saver for our family with the prices of everything around us being raised. Example--Boneless skinless chicken breast family pack--$1.59 a pound. Compared to Publix which is $2.49 a pound. It seems the higher quality of the meat, the more you save. My Husband and I can have two dinners of Angus steak at Penn Dutch for around $5 bucks. That's $1.25 a night per person! TIP: The Hollywood store has always been sub-par for me. It has a bit of an odd smell, and when you eat the meat, you can even "taste" whatever that smell is in the store. I highly recommend the Margate store--much bigger, better produce, and much cleaner.
ALSO: You will save so much on lunch meat here! I would say that their lunch meat is half the price of Publix or Winn Dixie. Also, the fish is about half the price of any other supermarket. No, it's not the freshest. They get some of it from overseas. But where else can you get a lovely cut of Salmon for $4.99 a lb??
The staff here is usually friendly, and will even joke around with each other behind the counter. This is just a store for normal people like you and me who are on a budget. No pretense.
