Applebee's Neighborhood Grill

Ok so I called before hand to see whatthe wait was because I was going to see a movie right after dinner, and they said it was no wait at all... So we put our name on the list in the event that there would be a line when we got there and when we get there, we had to wait 30 minutes for a table to open up. Clearly, there WAS a wait... Then we told the waitress that we were in a hurry was that ok... yeah no problem... ok, so we ordered the three course meal for 9.99... we ate the appetizers and we had to wait ten minutes for the food, no real biggie, but whatever... so we eat our burgers... then we're waiting for the waitress and she's outside smoking a cigarette talking to people we assumed were her friends... we wait fifteen twenty minutes, our movie is starting in like fifteen minutes, which is the perfect amount of time given that the movie theatre is literally 5 minutes TOPS away... one of the guys get up and pretty politely asks her for the ice cream and the check. She sighs really loud and goes and gets us our ice creams.... and the ice cream has hard ice blocks in it... but we're too much in a hurry to care, but then we realize she never gave us a check... so we waited ANOTHER fifteen minutes, and by this time our movie has already started... it wasnt the worst thing in the world... but it was pretty bad... and she was so rude the entire time, and NEVER refilled our cups which is a pet peeve of mine... They are pretty good when the place is close to empty, but as more people come in, the waiters and waitresses become overwhelmed wayy to easily, and they are severly understaffed... so they suck, and theyve gotten worse as the time has passed... So if you see like 3 to 7 cars in the parking lot, its safe to enetr... =]

THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE!!!! They don't even deserve stars, but I had to give them at least one. I made a take out order. I had to call 2-3 times after letting the phone ring at least 8 times. I made my order. About 20 minutes later, I called to see if my food was ready. I was left sitting on hold by someone who didn't even take my name to check. By the time someone answered, I was in the restaurant. I asked for a manager. The woman that I spoke to rolled her eyes about everything I said and her apology was lukewarm at best. I get home, and my order is wrong and I have to go back. I spoke with another manager, who seemed genuine about my concerns. I saw a co-worker while the manager was getting my refund, who was there for her birthday. I told him that I wanted to order a dessert for her. He told me not to worry about paying for it when I offered him money. I find out a couple days later that all she got was ice cream in a shot glass that her young daughter asked the waitress for. The service has gone from bad to worse. They won't be happy until they have no customers left.

We can't wait to go back: The service here is impeccable. I haven't had service like this since Morton's or Ruth Chris'. The food is your regular restaurant chain food although they do offer some great salads. I would recommend the Pecan Crusted Chicken Sald. It was out of this world. They also have some great diet foods. They are in a coalition with Weight Watchers. The portions for these items may seem small but the meals are well balanced and leave feeling quite full. Check it out sometime. They have two for one all day. The bar is lots of fun too. They have a pretty regular crowd where you can be a part of the friendly banter.
