THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD EVER!!! ME AND MY FAMILY GO THERE EVERY FRIDAY, ITS AN AWESOME PLACE, VERY COMFY AND WELCOMING. DEFINETLY A FAMILY PLACE. YOU FEEL PART OF THE FAMILY WHEN YOURE THERE, ITS JUST GREAT!
As a New Yorker, from my youth, I can call myself an expert in Italian food. I grew up in Queens but through the seven train, I knew every borough as well as my own. All I heard about, as far as the best Pizza was of course, Ray's Pizza. After more than 30 years, here and throughout the world, I still consider this little gem in Hialeah one of the best Italian restaurants in the world and without doubt, the best NY style Pizza in South Florida. Although not always consistent, but nothing is today, this Pizza is outstanding 90% of the time and so are the garlic rolls (95%). The Italian tradition is always there as well as the warmth and friendliness of this little piece of heaven surrounded by such diversity that it could have easily adapted to it's surroundings. However, the family owned and managed operation has maintained the quality of a neighborhood New York restaurant which people frequent their entire life. I have been a customer since 1977 and once a New Yorker, you're always a New Yorker! Everytime I get homesick, I know that just by walking through the door, I am back in the city of my youth. My children have also developed the same love of this place that I have and have celebrated many occassions there and I'm sure, I pray, that when my grandkids are old enough and DiPiazza is still there they will know how and what kind off food their grandad grew up with. DiPiazza is not just a restaurant, it's an institution, a time tunnel to the days of my youth and now a place of fond memories for my children. God bless the DiPiazza family and I truly hope that they will continue the tradition. I pray they will always be there and pass on the tradition to their next generation as I have with mine. The best "Favorite Italian Restaurant" of South Florida and without doubt, The #1 Pizza of the Southeastern United States of America. I hope they last forever!
