User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsOkay, I'll admit I am making too much of nothing, but I still found my experience at Coconuts really irritating. It was like this:
We went to Coconuts for dinner and drinks, having never been there before. It was "Happy Hour", and the place was relatively empty. After waiting 10 minutes for the waiter to finally show up, we ordered two domestic bottled beers and decided we'd rather not wait the rest of the night for him to take our dinner order and bring food around. So, we asked for the check... and waited another 10 minutes before giving up and heading up to the bar to try and pay our bill there. That's where we learned that the advertised Happy Hour special was only for patrons actually seated at the bar, and not for us poor schlubs seated at tables. The bill was $7.50 and I finally found our waiter to hand him $10 cash. "Do you need change?" he asked. (!!) I said I did, and he returned a few minutes later with two dollar bills... nothing more.
"Oh, we just rounded it up," he explained in defense of the missing coinage, and then scurried away.-

The food here is very good. We found many items on the menu that looked great. I had the Hawaiian Chicken-EXCELLENT! The atmosphere is very casual, outdoor deck overlooking the Holiday Inn and marina. Fish entrees also very good. A little expensive for the casual atmosphere, but worth it.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsKey Largo's Best Kept Secret: I spent an extended week-end at Key Largo Resorts (Holiday Inn) with my family. We found fishing, snorkeling, a glass bottom boat, parasailing and more at this secretive spot.
But most of all, we found Coconuts. We enjoyed the most delectable meals, Island drinks and live entertainment (it's a night club too), while surrounded by the beatuiful marina!
