Located on a private five-acre island in the Florida Keys, this hide-away is accessible by boat only. This elegantly rustic resort offers secluded, thatched-roof accommodations surrounded by tropical foliage. Handsomely decorated rooms feature walled showers that open to the sky and in-room Jacuzzis. Amenities include a highly rated restaurant, an outdoor pool with a waterfall and pool bar, water sports, jogging trails, the Spa Terre and a boutique. Rates are seasonal and are higher on weekends. In-room massage, dry cleaning and newspaper delivery services. Children under age 16 not permitted at the facility.

Been there many times over the past 12 years, but have noticed they are cutting back on the little unique extras that used to make this resort excellent. Starting with the discreet check-in, welcoming cocktails & boat ride to the island, it couldn't have been more idyllic. Our bungalow was magnificent. Friendly staff. Wonderful dinner & breakfast. Views to die for. Great spa. It's all about the escape from reality. We were in Miami for the week, but next time we'll stay longer. Like the card they left in our vehicle when we returned to the mainland, "don't be sad it's over, but be happy that it happened." -
