We go to Key West at least twice a year and always go to Schooner Wharf Bar. Great time; no matter what time you go. We go for people watching, drinking but not to eat. Music is good no matter what time you go. If you haven't hit this bar at least once while in Key West, you haven't been in Key West.
If you want to have a glass or two of beer on the waterfront this might be the place for you. It's raucus and fun in that way. There is almost always live music going on. Hungry? Then forget it. The food was greasy and the and the whole place is questionable in terms of cleanliness. It reeks of cigarettes and stale beer.
Incomplete: If you visit Key West and don't go to Schooner Wharf, your trip will be incomplete. Schooner Wharf is what Key West is all about! Atmosphere, Atmosphere, Atmosphere! Need I say more? You will definently see what I am talking about once you have been there. Its my absolute favorite place out of any of the Keys.
