| About: | Key West's Turtle Kraals have been around for many years, first as a way of raising turtles for food and for the shell, and later as a turtle soup cannery and a tourist attraction. Now it's doubling as a restaurant with a historic tower bar that's a popular spot in Old Town. The restaurant focuses its culinary offerings, not surprisingly, on seafood. Cooks blend the cuisine of New Orleans with that of Key West, Cuba and the Bahamas to come up with dishes featuring a wide array of delicate spices. Or catch the very popular turtle races, which are held twice a week. |

I go here everytime I go to Key West. I found it by accident the first time and have been going back ever since. The bartenders and servers are friendly, down to earth, good people. I always feel relaxed and welcome here. The Beer is cold, the food is some of the best in Key West and more affordable than some of the Duval St Tourist traps. When I have friends or family from out of town I take them to Turtle Kraals and we always enjoy it.
Turtle Kraals offers a wonderfull quite breakfast experiance, the quite mornings watching the marina wake up energize the soul.
The strongest recomendation of a Turtle Kraal breakfast is you will find most if not all the local law enforcement enjoying breakfast there.
The BABY'S coffee alone is worth the trip!
Good food Better races: TY\his place was great as a bar and the food was also good but there are better seafood places close by. But definatly good for the 6 oclock turtle race
