| About: | Both Florida and Maine lobsters, the latter much larger than their Florida counterparts are served in this restaurant, which features a barn decor with wood floors and skilled service. If lobster is not your dish, you will find a host of other seafood selections and a few landlubber items on the menu as well. Water views add to the allure of this longtime Key West favorite that also now has a cigar bar and Berlin's Cocktail lounge for potables. |

PLEASE save your money. My husband and I went their last week, only because a lot of the resturants we wanted to go to were closed because of vacations. I ordered my filet to be cooked medium and it came out rare and it was covered in the gross sauce. I had the waiter take it back to the kitchen, when it came back to the table, it was the same steak!! The host admitted to me that they scrapped the sauce off and reheated it!!! I insisted on a new filet and when they brought me a new one it was well done! The food was not good. My salad was the only thing that was enjoyable. Our bill was $145!!!
We go out to eat a lot and spend lots of money doing it. We don't mind dropping a lot of money if the food it good. Unfortunately, I cannot rave about this place. We ordered Steak and Lobster. The steak was a 3 out of 5 and the Lobster a 2 out of 5. Which is hard to believe for a Lobster place. My husband couldn't even eat his; he said it tasted strange. The service was ok, but they changed waiters on us midstream which did not make me happy since I liked the first one better. They just made a lot of mistakes for such a "nice" restaurant. So go somewhere like Martin's for good food and don't spend as much doing it. Most of the places I ate in Key West were pretty good. Hope this helps.
Very pricey, most entrees for dinner were over $30 per person. Excellent service. The food was good, but not our favorite restaurant of the trip.
