Great! Started with the calamari...great sauce! Good for dipping their fantastic garlic rolls! The pre-dinner salad was superb. The house dressing is one of the best I've ever had! I had the veal pizzaiola...again, very well done. The sauce was excellent and the veal melted in your mouth (apologies to the non-veal people out there). My wife had the Snapper with white wine sauce...cooked perfectly. One of the best Italian restaurants in south Florida. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed!
Great food, large portions, good service and not expensive. Gianni's is consistently good. I have been eating at Gianni's for almost 20 years and have never had a bad experience.
We decided to go here as a family after the funeral of my Grandmother. We have a special table here that we would eat at with my Grandma, so of course we wanted that table. My Mom came to this restaurant IN PERSON TWICE to plan our family's dining experience here at THAT table. When we arrived at 4:30 in the afternoon for our reservation, the host brings us to ANOTHER table which was way smaller. We said "this is not the table we asked for--we even comfirmed it twice in person." She said sorry--we're having a bigger party come in, and we'll need to keep that table open. We were very disappointed that without even telling us, they decided to switch us after we made sure we would get that table. After all that--would you believe the 10 person party never showed up, and that table was left open for the whole time we were there?? Very sad. They even had our phone number to call if something changed.
Our waiter, while efficient, lacked personality and friendliness. I will say though--there were other waiters there that seemed more friendly.
The food is mostly good-it just depends on what you order. The salad was unique and delicious. The worst part of the meal were the hard, dry, burnt garlic rolls they brought. The waiter did bring us new ones that were fabulous. The sides were very average. The clams oreganato appetizer smelled like feet and was not fresh. The stuffed artichoke appetizer had no flavor. My stuffed shells were excellent, and my Husband's salad was superb. Very hit or miss.
When we left at 6:00, the restaurant was quite noisy. If you go, I would ask to sit in the garden room which is much more quiet.
If you have a special reservation, just remember that if a bigger, more important party comes along, you may be quickly pushed out of the way. Gianni's would do well to work on their care for people instead of $$$$$. While we still had a great time together, they somewhat took the sentimentality from our dining experience during a very hard time in all of our lives.

Nice review. Almost the same thing happened to me last year. I totally agree.
