| About: | An indoor-outdoor dining spot, Joe's is part of the same complex that houses a more casual cafe, the Sands Harbor Patio Restaurant. Both are part of the Sand Harbor resort perched alongside the Intracoastal Waterway in Pompano. There's a full service bar and some money-saving sunset specials if you're seated for dinner. There's a dock here, too, so you can arrive by boat. Steaks are the mainstay but you'll also find some excellent seafood options and good pastas, chicken and chops. |

On vacation with a budget. My wife and I had fla. lobster's and a bottle a wine for $40.00. Everything was cooked perfect. Asked our server if this was a special for the day. He replied that they were running it all the time. Tried the key lime pie. outrageous!! Be back again
The room was hot, the service was slow and the fish was overcooked.
I would not return
This was one of the very worst seafood restaurants I have ever dined at. Every single aspect of a dining experience was the very worst it could be. Service was horrendous, starting right from getting seated. We waited for our food for about 90 minutes, very upset as we were ignored by the staff. When the food finally arrived, it was simply terrible. We are accustomed to dining in upscale restaurants, although this was not upscale, it seemed to amass good reviews. I don't see how this could be possible. Everyone's meal was inedible-the fish seemed old and fishy-we were all extremely nauseous after the meal(even though we only tasted a few bites) and into the next day. To top it off, they added a tip that we were not informed about, unusual for a table of 3, and that inferior service and horrible food wound up costing us close to a 40% tip. On our way back home we also met some fellow diners who had an equally bad experience there, although they had the good sense to return and demand the excess tipping charges returned to them. What type of restaurant need to automatically add the tip without informing their patrons? The only good thing about the place was the coca-cola that I ordered. Hopefully it kept my nausea down a degree. We will NEVER forget this AWFUL experience. Don't take a chance and believe these other great reviews. Unless this place was sold to new owners since good reviews were posted, I can't imagine anyone having a good experience at Joe's Riverside Grill!!!!!!!
