| About: | Do not expect too much delicacy here because this is an authentic Cuban eatery with no frills attached. Favorites include half-chicken with mojo, oxtail stew and fried whole snapper. Entrees here are enough to feed three in some cases. Daily specials are excellent and tend to disappear quickly. The dining room space is tiny and is usually packed full of patrons hungry for some hearty Cuban cooking. |

Love croquetas? This is the place for you!: I have been going to Islas Canarias for years and I hate to give away this secret but they have the BEST croquetas in town! The rest of the food is fantanstic and with their new makeover the place is looking good too! See you there soon.
Very Good !!: Honestly the Service is excellent! The food is awesome. My husband always has the Churasco and I always have the chicken brest steak I have never had it better anywhere else. Prices are great! You can have a great dinner for two people including wine for $30 including tip. You can't get any better than that! =) I recommend this restuarant to everyone!!
Old School: Islas Canarias is some of the best old school cuban cooking i've ever had. the ambience is just great, in the heart of miami, and the food is to DIE for. =D!!! if you ever long for some good cuban food...first choice...Islas Canarias.
