| About: | This is a charming French eatery in every sense boasting fabulous food, friendly service, and a warmly decorated interior. The walls are painted a bright yellow, and French doors open onto the sidewalk. Although you might be tempted to indulge in rich entrees and appetizers, you will thank yourself later for saving room. Desserts are extremely tempting. Mouthwatering Duck Pate is a delicious starter for your meal. Fresh fish, Chicken en Papillote, and Peppercorn Steak are a few of the available entrees. You will not want to leave without trying one of the freshly prepared desserts. The atmosphere is not stuffy, but you willfeel more comfortable if you change out of your beach clothes. |

User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsAwful awful awful!! We never even sat down to eat. The staff was so rude as well as the owner. We went during the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. They did not want to accomodate us (4 adults and one baby). The owner cursed at us when we left because we (for personal reasons) had to leave prior to even ordering. Yes, that's right- THE OWNER CURSED US OUT AND TOLD US TO NEVER COME BACK!!!! We certainly won't. Not child friendly and if you upset the owner- he is not afraid to let you know in front of all of the dining guests. We were never sure why the owner was so angry.....and I never have been cursed at by anyone at any business in my life. If you want a great meal in the grove-go to Green Street!!!! The food and staff there is always superb!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBistro in the Grove: Very traditional french bistro fare, well prepared and an excellent (if limited) wine list. Fun here is the ambiance and atmosphere created by the greagarious owner and his staff. A favorite for dinner (busy until late almost every night), but also an excellent spot for breakfast or a quick lunch.
