We read many good reviews here and then drove from Key Biscayne to Lincoln Road to experience Doraku. We walked through the construction zone and were seated at a small table. We had awful Salmon Skin Rolls and Doraku Rolls served by a waitress who was better qualified as a hamburger turner than a sushi waitress, she had no clue about Japanese food. She brought 2 Main Courses to the table rather quickly but let the other 2 people in our party wait a full 45 minutes before she told us "just a few more minutes" until their food would be ready. At that point we told her to keep the other 2 meals and just give us the check for what she actually served. In 40 years, it was the first zero tip that I ever left. Perhaps the major construction work has thrown Dakura off its game. Don't pay the big dollars at this place until they finish the construction and regain their abilities.
I can only speak about the "Rolls". Horrible! They tasted soo bland and the rice was dry! I should have eaten at McDonalds! Sure the place is beautiful but being consistent with the true South Beach Style what looks good on the outside can be rotten inside!
THE WORST SUSHI EVER! Sure the place is on Lincoln Road! Sure the place looks great! Sure the people are really friendly! But the Sushi is the worst! Never again!
