You will generally find reviews raving about this bakery. I agree that the daily baked items are delicious and I will most likely enjoy them again. However, I was very disappointed today when I went to purchase a cake. One, they said it would cost me an additional $2.50 to write "Happy Birthday" on it. I've never heard of a bakery charging for this service. Two, I asked if the cake was baked that day. The attendant, who didn't seem very interested in our transaction, said "yes". Well, the cake was tasty but it was definitely not baked that day. Earlier that week is probably more like it. The middle part of the cake was moist and the outer edges of the cake were dry, very dry. So beware, the cakes look fantastic and I'm sure they're awesome when fresh. I hope this establishment doesn't fall under the "Miami Beach Syndrome". That is...it believes it is so darn good that it disregards the importance of good, honest, enthusiastic and courteous service. Time will tell.
