About:	Founded in 1989, this non-profit organization goes out of its way to bring the performing artist together with the community, promoting new talent in the areas of music, theater, and dance. Aside from presenting the Contemporary Performance Series, Miami Light Project provides workshops for local artists, performs the Matinee Series for the public school students of the area, and holds the Annual Gay and Lesbian Comedy Series.
