Miami Ink

Company Information: With a show with the same name, Miami Ink is a shop that specializes in making tattoos of various shapes and sizes. The great range of designs attract customers to get great thematic tattoos made on themselves. The television series with the same name has clients coming to get inked and the contestants proving their mettle and trying out various ideas to race ahead. The Miami beach is close by, thus acting as an incentive to get inked and show off the pretty butterfly tattoo on even toned arms or a flat abdomen. Even a fierce looking dragon guarantees a second look. A great way to show off one's wild side.

   I went to Miami in August on vacation and figured I would stop by Miami Ink to see the shop and who knows, maybe meet one of the famous artists! We arrived and the shop you used to see on tv is now a retail shop for expensive t-shirts and jewelry. The person at the counter did not even greet or acknowledge we were even in the shop. This is kind of hard to do since there is enough room for 6-7 people at max with the way the shop is roped off. So the shop moved a few locations down from the old one " To Better ServeThe Customer" said the sign. My wife and I with our 2 yr. old daughter in a stroller walk down to the next shop which is called Love Hate Choppers and Tattoos. The sign on the front door said must be 18. We walked in and immediately the guy at the counter said " Guys you can't have her in here!" So my wife turned right back around and left and so did I. I could not believe that you can not bring a child in with you at any time! I do remember on the show where people had their kids in the shop and even when one child drew on their parent and they made that part of the tattoo. Also, how do you as an artist forget about all the people that drove all that way in hopes to one get a tattoo or even just to see you in person. Are these not the people who got you where you are today? I guess it is the typical I got my TV show, made a ton of money, and now I do not care about what got me where I am! I own a business and I treat every customer with respect and I tell everyone thank you for their business. I was very disappointed with the atmosphere and the customer service and most of all that they used the TV and the customers to get where they are and do not take the time to be there to pay the respects where they are do! Do not get me wrong, the artists there create some of the best work I have ever seen and I would get a tattoo from any of them with no hesitation. It just stinks to be so close when you see them on TV but so far away when you go to Miami.

   the tattoo shop where all the guys on the show work and still tattoo was about four doors down from where you were. they turned the location you were in into a store and opened up a tattoo shop a couple doors down. theres a sign on the door of the shop you were in stating that.

   this is the shop where they all work in right?.. cuz i heard stories...about this shop not being true.. i want to get a tatoo from them dont get me wrong. but im from Taiwan so to get to them i gotta fly more than 15 hours on an airplane and sometime from the airport to the shop. i dont want to do all that and find out that the place aint true like what others had said.

   Dissapointed: I went about a month ago, brought my own art, i was greeted by a guy who was rude and did not wanted to do my tattoo saying it was too small (it was about 4 in long and wide) he wanted me to have it 3 times the size. I went somewhere else, people there recommended (nicely) a few changes and the tattoo came out nice!! and by less than half the price! AAA Tattoo are better!!!!
