DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! with CDL Metropolitain trucking Company at 398 79th Street, Miami, FL 33138. I was talked into signing up for 14 hours of training and only recieved less than 2 hours at a cost of $595.00. They refused to give me a refund and I was told that they would pass me if I paid more money. I was able to check out without the training. Just being there for a couple days I witnessed very unscrupulus business pratices. This business should be investigated. This Business is just worried about making fast money. After they get a contract signed they treat the customers without any consideration. Many of the customers there do not speak english and are new immigrants to this Country who are being taken advantage of. They will not complain to the management due to fear of being failed. I personally waited for over 4 hours yesterday to do just 45 minutes of training when I had an appointment! Today I waited over 3 hours again and kept complaining to the Staff who did nothing. I was told to pay more money if I wanted to finish the course faster! This is very shady for a company that is doing business on behalf of the State of Florida DMV. I paid for a service and did not receive it. Save yourself the trouble.

I went to this school to get my CDL license and i can tell you that it was awesome, the training was what i was expecting and the price is right.
i noticed that the previous review stated that he was promised 12 hours Driving and he only drove 1.5, he didnt pay attention when they told him that his whole curse was 12 hours TOTAL time wich includes like 2 hours driving 2 hours for pre trip insp 2 for road test 6 for safety videos, now the videos for pre trip where very well explained no need for an instructor in the class room, the instructor will go out with you to the truck to do the same inspection live with you as many times as you want before you do your test and that is included in the price. so if you fail is because you didnt study.
and if you fail you dont get charged to retake the test, their easy payment option is also good you dont have to pay for everything up front you pay as you go and theyr are also flexible cause they will help you even when you run out of time that i saw with a customer that was having problems and was running out of time they gave him more training without charging him a penny (i know because i ask him).
I do recommend this school i do not deny that you have to wait a little but that happens when you have so many customers and can hardly keep up, for me that is also a good sign of the popularity that they have and i rather see a place full of people than an empty place again if you want to have a CDL License this is the place to go.

I am a former student and I have my CDL class A license. The fact is that this place is not expensive. However, when I was attending the classes there were a lot of times I wanted to just go home. The reason was I just wanted to drive and not really learn the stuff in the class.Another thing was that you have to wait your turn to drive a truck. Sometimes you will share a truck. If you are patient and you stick to the plan you will be successful in this school. The staff really know there stuff. I am one that doubted it but became aware of it very soon after seeing with my own eyes how well they explained the material. Its true what the other guy here said about sitting in a room watching pre-inspection videos, there are no instructors in there. I looked at it differently though, I watched those tapes over and over until I memorized all of the words. That is how I passed the pre-inspection test (hint). I passed all three tests in two weeks because I was persistent and it did help that I joked around a lot with the people who worked there. Be friendly and talk to the staff and you should not have a problem. Oh, by the way they don't let you touch any trucks unless you pay in full. That is not necessarily a bad thing but keep it in mind. Hope you all pass.
