Huge portions, low prices: I have passed by this place so many times and never knew it was here! A friend suggested we go together, she wanted to share her "secret" place with me. OMG! What a great place! and the prices were the lowest I have ever seen for "French" food. It wasn't stuffy like some other "bistros" I been to and for once, we weren't paying too much. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, coffee drinks and the most beautiful desserts I've seen since last being in NY. We were there for lunch, it was busy but not too busy. When we walked in the door, many of the servers greeted us and we were sat quickly. I had an iced capuccino, Lynn had an oringina and we ordered soup, French onion and tomato basil which was what Lynn orders every visit. My soup was full of chewy cheese...yum! I had a seafood crepe that was HUGE and so good (took half home for the next day) and Lynn had a salad (can't remember the name, don't speak a bit of French) that had so many different things - pate, spicy sausage, brie, prosciutto, tomato, cornichons and a balsamic dressing. It was beautiful. I took home a fruit tart, and a few small french treats that were great but I can't remember their names either. Next time I have to remember to grab a take home menu. The only dissapointment was that they had sold out of their chocolate-almond croissants that Lynn was anticipating. All of the staff wished us a good day, it was a very friendly place. I plan to go back alot and can't wait to try their dinner menu. Also, they don't take reservations for breakfast/lunch unless it's some sort of very large party and only reservations for dinner for 6 or more. As I said before, I still can't get over the huge portions and small prices.
