i have always liked tarpon bend when i went with my in laws for dinner. but recently i went there on Val. day early to beat the dinner crowds and catch a movie with my 3 kids at the IMAX down the road. I went in and the lady behind the bar told me to sit where ever i pleased since it was almost empty... my kids picked out a booth. It needed to be wiped off. i waited there for 5 minutes before a young girl came and gave us menus and halfway wiped off the table when i asked her too. After that no one came. I HAD 3 WAITRESSES WALK BY AND 2 MANAGERS AND NO ONE SAID A THING TO ME. EVEN WITH EYE CONTACT! so me and the kids left and went somewhere else. I have been a server for 12 years and i find that sad and wrong that u can be ignored for being alone with kids and not get service.
Great Lunch Spot: Excellent lunch spot especially if you can get a table outside. The food is good and pretty quick with very fair prices.
Good place for lunch: Only had lunch there a couple of times, it was good.
