This is my friend's favorite restaurant, but I have to question his judgment.
I tried to purchase a $50 gift card for him by phone/mail, but was unable to do so.
The staff was not well trained for a supposed 5-star restaurant. They did not know how to complete the sale.
I called one evening, and was asked to call the next day around lunch because no manager was there. I did, and there wasn't a manager there then, so I was asked to call back in the afternoon.
When I called back in the afternoon, they asked me to call in the evening! I asked for the name of the manager, and they refused to give it to me.
I was getting the runaround.
Finally, the young man reluctantly said he could sell me the gift card, but he asked me to repeat and spell everything 3-4 times, and still couldn't complete the sale!
When I asked to speak to the manager, he told me she wasn't there, but I heard her talking to him in the background.
When I finally spoke with her, she was quite rude and refused to acknowledge that her staff was providing bad service. She spoke constantly while I was trying to explain, as if preventing me from speaking would allow her to "win."
I ask you: Is this what you expect from a 5-star, fine-dining establishment??
If I'm going to be abused, I'd rather go to Chili's. At least it's less than half the price. -

We have been going here for at least the last ten years and for the most part enjoyed it. Our last visit was an exception with extremely poor service. A complaint to teh manager brought no satisfaction in this case. Of course she was also doing duty as a waitress so couldn't be bothered. She was poorly suited for either job. The food has been good over the years, it is the service that sometimes lacks.
