User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsOn the topic of the Blockbuster/Autonation IMAX,...all I have to say is this. I just recently watched a documentary on IMAX, and went to a IMAX theater in Orlando while on vacation. That IMAX and the Autonation imax are totally different. The IMAX in Orlando is how IMAX should be done. The screen was HUGE, it was ENORMOUS. The Theater itself was a Stadium seated. The now Autonation imax theater is quite frankly a joke. Now looking back from seeing Spider-man 3 in May, the experience was horrible. Reason being because I see it wasn't IMAX. I really don't know what that place is. I think its just a theater with a really high screen that isn't wide enough, used for showing films for the museum. In addition the seating in the Autonation is on a balcony, so with that you have about six or more feet of screen below your view. A IMAX screen is suppose to be floor to sealing, and wall to wall. I ensure that you won't see this at the Autonation imax. Only thing good about this theater is the sound system. The concession stand is horrible, and they have a subway but you're not allowed you to take the subway in the theater. This place is sad, I feel so sorry for anyone who works there. If someone built a movie theatre with a real IMAX, The Autonation imax will go out of business. Please trust me now having a chance to compare the two, the Autonation imax is not worth the price of parking and admission. Don't go there. I REPEAT, DON'T GO. Just see the movie a regular theater or just wait until someone builds another IMAX in south Florida, or also you can drive a little further to the IMAX in west palm beach. User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWhat An Experience!!!: We saw Superman Returns here. While the movie was just ok, the theater was fantastic. It is a bit pricey. However, the experience is like no other. The theater was clean, the staff did a great job with such a large crowd and the seats were comfortable. Just remember to get there early because with a screen so large, you don't want to sit near the front.

What the Riddler doesn't understand is the difference between an Imax movie and a movie shown at the Imax. The movie that he saw in Orlando was an Imax documentary. Filmed to be shown on the entire Imax screen, side to side floor to ceiling. The proper way to show a regular movie at Imax is to utilyze as much of the screen while still maintaining the original aspect ratio of the film maker. Therefore Spider-man would be shown in the same format as any other theater, only much bigger, with phenomenal 3-d, if available, and the best sound possible. What he expected was the format that he saw in Orlando. He just didn't know. Reason being he not be knowledgeable of the circumstances.
