| About: | Described as "Great American Cuisine," Reed's Riverhouse is an excellent spot for quality steaks and seafood. The menu includes quite a bit of Southern and Cajun influenced dishes, prepared with a distinctive finesse. Who says American food is just hamburgers and apple pie? The dining room is semi-formal, but very comfortable, and has a gorgeous view of the river. The portobello mushroom appetizer is highly recommended. Entrees include an excellent New York strip steak, barbecued pork loin and snapper with jambalaya. |

Sunday Brunch Favorite. I've been to the River House for brunch several times in the past. I hve always had a great time meandering in and out of spaces to find the great items they have for brunch. The view is very nice and I only go there on a sunny Sunday for brunch so that I might sit outside and enjoy the view.
This is the place you take someone for a quiet romatice evening. Bring the upscale out of town guests here for Sunday brunch. This RiverHouse is not as nice as the one in PalmBeach, but it is still a very nice place to go.
The house/restaurant sits on a narrow portion of the New River and is a pretty place with terrible service and average to below average food. We have eaten in many wonderful Florida restaurants over the years and this is not one of them. We had dinner here after seeing a play at the Broward Center for Performing Arts. Most of the people dining had come from the theatre as well. At first the service was very good but once the place got busy we never saw the water. I mean this is the worst service we have ever had at any restaurant. We would not eat here again. It seems the place does not want to pay for more help so our water had all the tables on our side of the house. He was totally overwhelmed and apologized but still left us sitting for over half an hour until he brought the check. Between finishing and getting a dessert menu we sat 45 minutes. I was fuming. My husband ordered chilean sea bass and it was average good. I ordered the Halibut with crabmeat over it and it is supposedly a house specialty. I did not like it at all. Try any restaurant in Delray Beach up the coast and you will do much better.
Overpriced, food without any taste, poor service, the only good point the view - the view normaly should be free.
