There is a review from a person from New haven CT home of Pepe's and Sally's.
Well I'm from Shelton CT a few miles from NH, so I think I'm a pretty good critic of pizza....well I heard all the hype about Anthony's so I went last nite.
Very disappointing pizza. Had 1/2 cheese and 1/2 meatball. The cheese side was OK.....not great....just OK, but the meatball side....couldn't eat it. Tasted like the meatballs came from a case that you buy at BJ's......AWFUL
I'll go again, if I'm starving, or have a coupon for $10....but other than that....NO WAY !!!!
NEVER GO THERE!
the atmosphere is completely uninviting with awful music blasting the entire time. the service is terrible and the waitress's are some of the rudest people i have ever met. we sat there for an hour watching 2 tables that had come in 20 minutes after us, get their food, eat, and get their bill before our pizza was even brought out. once it finally came out, the order was wrong and when we said so the waitress had an EXTREME attitude.....the manager was MUCH worse. instead of apologizing, he found every reason why we were wrong....when we tried to say what had happened, he persisted to talk over us....we ended up walking out of the restaurant without eating or paying.....
we ended up going home and ordering from our local pizza place....this was definitely not a nice night out to dinner.....
if you like bad service, bad food, and bad attitudes this is a place for you, otherwise stick to what you know....
I went to Anthony's because i had heard they had good pizza. I was really disappointed when i finally went to try it. First of all the service was less than decent. the pizza was expensive and definately not worth the price. The pizza we ordered (with tomotoes, cheese and basil)had virtually no flavor at all. I actually had to pour salt on it-It was that bland! I would never ever go back. I'm not sure why so many people rave about it. I guess it's just one of those trendy restuarants....

Absouletly untrue...the best service from the most polite waiters and waitress. The food is tastier than any other pizza place in florida, or new york. I've been going there for seven years and recommend it to all and never heard a negative response. Maybe it was your attitude that needed ajusting.
