New Hong Kong Chinese Foods

This place is more on Cordova Road than it is on E 17th. Its at the entrance to the Office Depot shopping center on Cordova opposite Winn Dixie.

This is my favorite chinese take out in Fort Lauderdale. They claim their "chefs" are from NY, and judging by the food I'd say they have it right. The dumplings are the best I've had in Fort Lauderdale; fried rice and basic dishes are what you'd expect. The usual peeves with cheaping out apply to this place; they use green peppers instead of red in chicken with black bean, load up on cheaper veggies, etc.

I'd struggle to give 3 stars for service. The food is always ready on time and they give you whatever extra condiments you want without a word; but the girl who takes the order is so mechanical its beyond annoying. They have a couple of tables, but the place is small and not really suitable for anyone other than employees.

The BEST Chinese take out I've ever had! # 68 is the best!!
