Warning - If you're looking for fancy - stay away. However, if you are looking for no frills amazing BBQ, Jack's is the place to go. It is in an old fast food joint, and still has the drive through. There are huge BBQ cookers that entice you with an amazing smell as you drive up. The BBQ is out of this world, the sauce is tangy - very spicy - but not hot spicy - if you get my drift. The mac & cheese is home made, not the goopy yellow cheesy stuff. The staff were very friendly and made good suggestions. I would definitely return and even go out of my way to return if I'm in the area again.
This has to be one of the most terrible places that I have ever eaten. Taking the advice of Yahoo (as well as another source) into consideration, my partner and I decided to give this place a try. Big mistake!
We both ordered the BBQ Platter to try a little bit of everything Jack's had to offer. The ribs were nothing special at all. The chicken was very dry but could have had potential. The pulled pork was inexcusably bad. We can only assume that it had been frozen previously. We could only describe the texture as "minced". Truly, that pork should have been pulled once and for all. Our sides were mac and cheese and baked beans. The mac and cheese reminded us of something Dad tried to make us when Mom was away and the baked beans were straight from the can.
Jacks has to be the dirtiest place I have been in for quite some time. They provide paper towels at the table but keep the restrooms locked. You can't even wash your hands without asking for a key to the bathrooms which you must access from outside. What kind of BBQ joint doesn't have wet naps?!? If they had them they quite possibly would have been the only strile thing there.
Please, take our advice about this one. They don't know Jack about operating a restaurant or BBQ! You have been warned!

I just visited Jack's in Aug 2009 and got a wet nap with my meal. Also, they keep the bathrooms locked for your safety since you have to enter them from the outside of the building. I'm sure they don't want people from off the street wandering in and using them. I found the restrooms to be tidy and clean. My meal was de-lish and i'm sorry yours was so bad.
