All of the worst stories you've heard about car dealerships and salesmen will come true at Delray Honda! They have lied and cheated throughout the whole process, and will follow up with the worst customer service in the business.
We were offered to return our previous Honda with 3 months left on the lease and have Honda cover the last 3 payments. We agreed to the deal, leased a new Honda, and left our old car in the hands of our snake of a salesman, Dan Bostwick. A week later, we received notice from Honda Financial stating that all 3 payments were due, and nothing was covered. Honda Financial said they do not offer this program, and are not affiliated with the dealer. Basically, they would not discuss anything with us, and are sending back to the hands of this terrible dealership. Delray Honda, who has already returned our previous car to Honda, said they are not responsible for what their salesman has told us, and there is nothing they can do! I was shocked! We are now stuck making payments on a car we no longer have becase the dealer took it back from us! We have been trying to work with the General Manager, Dave Allen who has been unable to get anything done, and has never returned a single phone call. It seems he is waiting for us to give up and go away.
This is not Sherwood Honda! They have sold the dealership to Delray Honda, which is a new, and is quickly proving to be the worst new car experience in the area. I've been buying cars for 15 years and have never been disappointed enough to write a bad review. Take your business elsewhere...
I absolutely can't stand dealing with Honda. This was the second bad experience I've had leasing with them. I should have learned my lesson the first time, when I ended up paying for miles over on the lease after being promised by the salesperson that this was going to be taken care of. I learned that whenever you are buying/leasing a car, while there are A LOT of papers, that they tell you to "just sign here"- YOU MUST MAKE SURE TO READ CONTRACT CAREFULLY. In the latest experience, this time at Sherwood Honda, I agreed (without being told or informed by sales) with my signature that Honda was not responsible for outstanding payments (on the car I was turning in early). So now, I am paying for the last few payments on a car I already turned in, plus the new car. I feel I was duped by the dealership, and I fought tooth and nail, but they wouldn't budge on this. They just wanted to rush me out of there, and I wish I had read everything I was signing. I HATE car salesman, especially, the one I dealt with Greg, who is a snake. I have already had two flat tires with this Pilot, and everything related to Honda has given me bad luck. I despise Honda!!
These people will lie to you just watching at your eyes with no regrets... They made me buy an extended warranty and they said that's how I'll save on interest rate. BS. That cost me an extra couple of thousands instead of saving me money.
I canceled the warranty on the very next day and they gave me PART of the money back after 5 months.
