Some people had contradicted against this restaurant and I would like to put in my words how I feel about this restaurant and their reviews. Some people get mad because they did not bother to ask for the schedule price that had been set since the beginning of the restaurant opening. In many China buffets I have been to the price would always varies depending on time and the day of the week, so if your mad about the bill, do not be mad at the restaurant itself, be mad at YOURSELF for not doing a simple thing like asking for how much it would cost on certain days. As for the restroom, I would not complain since many restaurants have it far worst than theirs. I have seen the waitress conditions, they always give off good services and they never frown or express their negative emotions against the customers. I have also seen the workers prepared the food (since I was a regular I requested to see how the workers condition behind the wall was). Let me tell you in my own honest opinion, I have never expected it too be so sanitary. The workers handled the food carefully and worked so efficiently that I really have to give them a thumb up. In other buffets, I have seen hairs and other disgusting thing that sometime appears in the food, but Top's China Buffet, I have not seen anything that you would call unsanitary after over 50 visits. I heard people say there's cockroaches in the restaurant. I have not seen any of these so call imaginary cockroaches and I probably never will. Every time I eat until near closing time, I would always see the workers flip over the tables and spray for cockroaches, insects, and etc (also come on people, if there is a cockroach, it not like there never been a single cockroach in any restaurant). For the people who had bad a experienced, give it an another chance. So if you have a craving stomach for many varieties and live close by, I recommend Top's China Buffet. 5 out of 5 is all I have to say.
We have been to Top's several times in the past both for lunch and Sunday dinner. The bathrooms do need a serious cleaning and refurbishing. I try not to use them if at all possable. Although I have never seen any roaches on the walls I have always managed to be seated in an isle table. I took my wife to Tops Saturday night for dinner. I have been laid off for 3 months but had saved $20.00 so that we could go out and take a break from the kitchen and our own cooking. I even told my wife that this was our Anniversary night out seeing how we couldn't to celebrate this year(25th this comming week).
When we got the bill it was for $30.90 just for 2 people. When I asked the waiter why he said that Friday and Saturday night were crab leg nights and that it cost more.I told him (which he knew) that we didn't eat any crab legs. He simply shrugged his shoulders. At the pay counter I asked to speak with the manager. She was a very rude woman. When I complained about the price and told her that we didn't like crab legs let alone eat any she said"its just business". I asked why they didn't have the prices posted somewhere and she tried to show me a menu which I have never seen or even been offered when being seated. I had assumed that with Buffet in the name that is was all that they had. She then said that they Used to have the prices posted on the entryway. Too bad my psychic abilities wern't working. I told her if she charged me the full price that I would never be back. Again she said "its just business". I gave her all the cash I had, $25.00 and put the other $5.90 on my bank card. She apparantly has no business sense and places no value on a returning customer. To think I drove 17 miles to eat there. It won't happen again.
I went there last night with 3 other people. The line for crab legs was ridiculous. You had to wait 15-20 mins for them to put more out and by the time you got up to them, they were all gone. They only put out small portions of crab legs and people are so inconsiderate. They have their chidren stand in line for them and pile the crab legs on until the are falling off the plate. The other food there was great and we were all having a good time until we spotted a ROACHcrawling on the wall right next to our table. My friend killed it and put it in a napkin. We showed it to our waitress and she said she would tell the manager. But we still had to pay full price. She probably ate the darn thing herself! And the bathrooms were worse the a port-a-potty! I will not be returnig!!!
