Family friendly: Folks if you're looking for a place to go on a Sunday afternoon, this is it. Teach the little ones how to fish, teach the older ones about the thrill of motorycles and if anyone plays a musical instrument or just sings, get them on stage. The band loves "sit-ins" so c'mon down! Kids get hungry - they got food, restless - they got room and plenty to keep everyones attention. Just a greeat afternoon.

Third time is a charm!: We showed up on a Saturday afternoon in late July looking to get one of those great hamburgers. When we got near, there were cars parked out in the road and children were every where! This was my third visit and was surprised to see so many people, especially the children! We went on in and got our delicious cold beverage and retired to one of the porches that over looks the Alafia River and let the boy go. I can't recall when I have enjoyed myself more! The reason there were so many people is because they were hosting a children's fishing tournament!!!! How neat is that? All children on the premises received a brand new fishing rod and reel whether they were in the tournament or not. Man taught boy how to work his very first open face reel and after only four days of constant fishing (and I mean constant) boy caught a catfish (that gets bigger everytime he tells it) off of our dock on the Little Manatee River! Boy is hooked on fishing in the worst way now. Every time we go to Ruskin, I will make sure we get back to life on the "Edge". It is a great place to be! As an added bonus, there are lots of sweet young things on Harley's in and out of there, too! Gotta love that! Over all, this is not an uptight kind of place! If you are hateful or hard to get along with, you will not enjoy yourself. Go in expecting to just relax and you will have a wonderful time.
