The wonderful quiet get away with nice clean grounds running water for picnic's etc. on the river and boardwalks that wind around thru the many acre's of woods and wildlife makes one find peace in the midst of the storms of life. We always have nearly a 100 people around our area and there's plenty of parking and places to relax . Make this one of you to do site's to visit. Posted on 10/07/09Very nice park although getting someone to answer the phone there for information is next to impossible.When I finally gave up ...See MoreVery nice park although getting someone to answer the phone there for information is next to impossible.When I finally gave up and calling and drove up there to get information I was suprized to find two women in an A/C shack just watching the phone ring as other people where trying to phone in. I guess some more of are wonderful tax dollars at work. I wish I had a job where I could sit on my butt all day and watch the phone ring. OYEA I almost forgot its been 3 days now and still no reply to the message I left on the answering machine to call me back. -

My family and I, love this beautiful park. It's got everything for a family that loves to picnic, hike and fish. We go several times a month just to get outdoors. It's close to home, so we don't travel far and with gas prices the way they are, that's a blessing. I recommend going and having tons of fun.
