Stay away from this place. They lied about their shuttle hours. They did not even look at a problem when I brought it in. When I tried to speak to the manager to discuss my concerns and the fact that I would be switching my service elsewhere I was shunted place to place multiple times and never connected with the manager despite 5 attempts. I just bought a Genesis. It does not pay to buy a luxury car when you get inferior service once it is bought.
I recently got my Sonata car Timing belt and Drive belt replaced. I did not have hassels. I did enquire about AC check, they are asking $90 just for checking, which I believe too high. My car's Ac all of a sudden stopped working. I asked how much it could cost, on an average. Jim, the service engineer said on an average $1000. May be it costs that much, but they way he was telling, it appeared to me, if the the problem is minor they could charge more.
Well for this Timing belt thing, they did well. No problem as such now, I am driving for last 2 days. I will observe some more time and then get my 60k maintenance done and report back here my experience.
Really only tough choice is between poor and awful.
Wasn't prompltly greated. Waited about 3 minutes while they were chatting in the other room. Strike 1.
Despite dropping my car off first thing in the morning they only got it done just in time when they were near closed. Knowing I took the shuttle home and calling me as soon as it stop running. Strike 2.
Also the service manager informed me they couldn't get the rotors off my car to service because they were "rusted on." I know what is involved in a brake job and could do it myself. A wooden or plastic mallet, leverage, and maybe a shot of WD40 could easily get them off if stuck together. I asked for them back and only got them after paying and they were barely rusted at all. STRIKE 3!
Oh it gets better..
After having to find a ride back to the dealership, being told BOTH rotors had to be replaced, seeing the paperwork not reflect that, I had to deal with this lady who seemed like it was her first day. She read the sheets of paper like it was a teleprompter and when I asked why it said nothing about both rotors needing replacement it was another 5 min wait. Then I wanted to use the coupons I had shown long before (original cost for brake job went from $160 - 300+) I had to wait another 10 more minutes.
I must have looked like a steam cannon ready to burst but I paid, got my old rotors, saw them barely rusted and swore to never EVER come back.
I wouldn't take my car here even if it was still under warranty.
Still can't believe they smashed up my rotors with a metal hammer and I ended up paying for it. Overall a truely AWFUL experience.
