| About: | O'Brien's pub is a great place to have a pint of beer and delicious Irish-pub food. It has been in business for a decade and is a warm, friendly, family run pub. Infact, all their food is cooked using classic homemade recipes. They have a mouth-watering menu with dishes, such as O'Briens Prime Rib, known to be the best in the city. It is cooked using an Irish whiskey recipe! If that sounds appealing, then also try the Gaelic Grill. Try the Irish Breakfast which is served daily and feast like a King. The pub livens up a bit after 9p with the arrival of a live band that plays on till after midnight. |

What a great place to have a pint. The staff is friendly. This is the best bar in Tampa!
Ok I have been to Europe and yes, this place has the resemblance of any typical Irish Pub. So there is a tiki hut outside, we are in America. Music, I know they have live music, poker or spades on Tuesday, and if this ain't your bag, click some balls across the lot. You may find a few pissed folks throwing darts, but heck, you are there to get pissed! (drunk). Friendly staff, and cold brews, check it out! you want a real Irish pub, go see grandma! lol or down by UT...
About as Irish as Lucky Charms, but still decent: I keep hearing people say that this place is 100% Irish. Do bars in Ireland have tiki huts outside and cover bans in cowboy hats playing "Play that Funky Music, White Boy"? At least some of the bartenders are Irish.
It is a good BAR, that is to say it's to a good place to meet people up for a drink and talk without being drowned out by loud club music. I tried to go for St. Patrick's Day but the entire parking lot along with other parking lots was completely full, plus there was a $10 cover and it was so crowded that I would have been lucky to get more than one drink.
It's probably the best bar in Carrollwood, but that's kind of like the saying the cutest girl at Fat Camp.
